This paper describes how AVEVA’s Integrated Engineering & Design for Lean Shipbuilding approach supports this by enabling users to collaboratively control and communicate change, to work more efficiently and to increase the quality of project data and deliverables. The principles of Engineering & Design for Lean Shipbuilding will be illustrated with two use cases, emphasising the business drivers for each and the benefits in data consistency, reduced rework and accelerated delivery.
