Liquefied Gas Carrier has received much recognition by the IMO, which institutes the International Gas Code, becoming a compelling code now. The International Gas Code has been revised several times after drafted, and this paper introduces a brief reference to the revised International Gas Code proposed to IMO on 6th June 2012 in comparison with the current International Gas Code, reflects the major different aspects listed within each chapter and makes a explain such as the location of gas tank and damage stability etc. in detail. The revised International Gas Code is more strict and safer for Liquefied Gas Carrier than it which is presently into force by comparison. Besides, this paper provides an example on the major revisions in order to analyze the influence on the design of Liquefied Gas Carrier.
