A technique has been developed for the analysis of single and multiple blade-row open and ducted marine propulsors. The analysis technique includes a treatment of contracted stream tube geometries and blade thickness-load corrections.
This analysis procedure was developed to function either with an input effective inflow or coupled with an axisymmetric viscous flow solver. Sample analysis calculations are shown for an open propeller and for an open stator-rotor combination. These examples are compared with experimental data.
