The Journal of Sailboat Technology published by The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers focuses on research achievements and engineering practices ranging from sailboat systems and sail design to materials and construction methods, weather routing and race simulation.
The Journal intends to cover not only fundamental studies on analytical and numerical models, theoretical developments, tank and wind tunnel experiments, but also results and analysis of full-scale experiments.
In 2016, the Journal of Sailboat Technology became the Journal of Sailing Technology.

The Journal of Sailing Technology is an online peer-reviewed journal, jointly published by The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) and SNAME's SC-2 Sailing Craft Panel, whose objective is to provide a medium for the publication of research achievements and engineering practices inherent to all aspects of sailing.
The journal provides an OPEN ACCESS exchange platform for academics, researchers, students, designers, manufacturers, industry professionals and sailors alike, as well as the general public with an interest in sailing technology.
