Abstract
The Liquid Limit, which is necessary for the classification of fine-grained soil, can be determined according to SRPS U.B1.020 in two ways - by applying the Casagrande method and the Fall Cone method. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the results obtained in determining the Liquid Limit using these two procedures at the Laboratory of Geotechnical Engineering of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Niš. Ten samples of different fine-grained materials, originating from the wider area of the city of Niš, were tested.
