Herin, we analyze the uncertainty associated with transverse isotropic litho-petro-elastic inversion applied in unconventional reservoirs using pairwise correlation matrices and show a real case example from the Permian Basin. Sequential filters quantify the amplitude variation with azimuth inversion uncertainty by means of posterior covariances. We demonstrate that large model space still carries some resolution because, in the unconventional example, many of the parameters are loosely correlated and thus, the dimensionality of the problem is reduced.
