In previous chapters, steady-state single and multiphase fluid and heat flows in flowlines, in wellbores, and through restrictions and piping components have been presented as single and isolated components of an oil and gas production system. The interaction among these components with each other and with the reservoir is critical in understanding, predicting, controlling, and optimizing the overall oil and gas production system performance. In this chapter, the knowledge presented in the previous chapters is integrated for a single-well production system to study the interactions among production system elements and predict the overall system performance.
