With the gradual development of oil/gas exploration, the exploration objectives are being changed to complex reservoirs from the conventional reservoirs, and the exploration areas are being transferred to the foreland basin and mountain front zone from the interior of the basin, so, many problems is confronting us in mountain seismic exploration, such as the seismic data is of low S/N ratio, the quality of seismic imaging is poor and the subsurface structures are unreliable, which are resulted from the complex structure conditions in complex mountain areas, including complicated and diversified near surface structures, complex subsurface steep structures, as well as heterogeneous reservoirs. Aiming at the characteristics and the difficulties of mountain seismic exploration, in respect of seismic acquisition, the paper presented such techniques as interference wave systematic test technique, mini-receiver point tomographic LVL investigation, CRP attribute analysis-based geometry design technique, wide line & long geophone array acquisition technique, 3D wide azimuth acquisition technique, seismic engineering remote sensing technique and so on; in respect of seismic processing, the paper presented mountain static correction technique series, multiple-domain joint noise attenuation technique, high precision prestack velocity modeling and depth migration technique; in respect of seismogeological integrated interpretation, the paper presented complex structure pattern building technique, variable velocity structure mapping technique, fracture detection technique, reservoir prediction technique and fluid recognition technique and so on. By using integrated technique of seismic acquisition, processing and interpretation and integrated application of engineering techniques, the quality of the seismic data in complex mountain areas is improved greatly, the accuracy of the seismic imaging is enhanced obviously, and reservoir prediction precision of the complex structure is also improved. These techniques have been widely applied in many complex areas, such as, Sichuan basin, Keshenkelasu structure zones in Tarim basin, Kedong structure zone in thickness loess area in southwest Tarim basin, south edge of Junggar basin, and west edge of Ordos basin, has discovered quantity of oil/gas structures, and promoted the important discovery of oil- and gas-bearing zones in west China.
