The three gas-producing "pools" discussed in this paper are inSweetwater County, southwest Wyoming, and Moffat County, northwest Colorado.Hiawatha,.North Baxter Basin and South Baxter Basin gas fields becameeconomically important in 1929 when a 330-mile gas line connected them withSalt Lake City, Ogden and towns en route. This development immediately focussedattention on the gas-producing fields and the efforts of the producing companyto develop them in an orderly, economical manner. Several outstanding interestswere acquired and working agreements made with others.
