Oilfield tubulars can not preserve their original circular shape under the combined effects of hole curvature and tension. The deformed tube resists to a collapse pressure less than a circular tube. On the other hand, mud pressure across the tube flattens the tube. This paper explains the method of solutions and presents the numerical and graphical solutions to these two problems.
