ABSTRACT
Formation images from wireline measurements have reached maturity. Corroborated by numerous comparisons to core, the images are considered to be an acceptable substitute for core in the absence of core data. Since 1985, the geological impact of these services is self-evident, but attributes of imaging logs can also lead to more efficient petrophysical analysis.
