This paper describes experience with an interesting new high-pressure application of an all-electric centrifugal compressor for miscible injection. Improvements made during the shop testing of the machine were responsible for reducing mechanical issues in the field. However, commissioning and startup proved challenging. Process control of the MI mixture to the compressor was one of several issues that required field resolution in order to complete the start-up.
