Recent market entry of compact, integrated, "minilogger" type tools has created opportunities for improving the quality and quantity of data acquired in conventional BHPT surveys, with significant added value for gas lifted flowing surveys. These memory tools typically comprise a pressure gauge plus a high resolution borehole temperature probe and CCL. The total package is about the same size as a traditional tandem BHP gauge assembly, and may include a small spinner. When running a minilogger in place of BHP gauges, there have been predictable as well as unexpected benefits realized.
