Abstract

The paper is devoted to the investigation of possibility of seismic methods using for steam chamber growth monitoring during heavy oil fields development using steam assisted gravity drainage method. For this purpose a program for simulation of compositional flow of high-viscosity viscoplastic oil as well as a program for simulation of acoustic wave propagation in three-dimensional heterogeneous medium. The features of steam chamber influence on the seismic wavefield are detected and technique of their interpretation is developed.
