ABSTRACT
The analytical solution to the diffusivity equation for an infinite two-layered reservoir with a vertical fracture is obtained for the case where the initial pressure of each layer is unequal.
The equations derived in this method are used to determine the length of the fracture of the two zones, if the initial pressure of each layer is known. Additionally, this analysis determines the reservoir parameters of vertically fractured reservoir.
The solution of the diffusivity equation for this study with the proper boundary conditions for an infinite two-layered system with a vertical fracture is given in the Appendix.
