The real gas pseudo pressure concept is a very useful technique for calculating gas well deliverability and in the analysis of pressure transient tests. Current use of the real gas pseudo pressure requires application of numerical integration and interpolation methods. Here, an approximation of the m(P) function is proposed which eliminates the need for numerical intergration. A simple power type equation is found to fit the m(P) function over a broad range of gas properties and reservoir conditions. Practical examples are provided to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed approximation.
