Abstract
Eventually, mature gas wells start liquid loading as their gas rate declines due to reservoir pressure depletion. That triggers a period of intermittent production until stable production can be restored by deliquification. This paper describes how to predict and recognize the onset of liquid loading, and how to forecast and optimize the associated intermittent production. These best practices can be used to minimize liquid loading deferment and to schedule deliquification measures.
