Abstract
The UK, North Sea, Emerald Field is a marginal oil field that has not lived up to expectations. A combination of disappointing reservoir performance and equipment start-up problems resulted in lower than anticipated daily oil production. This paper describes the experience of Midland & Scottish Energy in managing the reservoir and operating the field facilities.
