Abstract
The Hyde Gas Field is a relatively small pool to the North of the West Sole Field, some 70 kilometres east of the English coastline.
Whilst advanced technology and best practice have taken the Hyde project to the launchpad of success, a shared risk and reward strategy has propelled the field beyond the standard orbit of performance for marginal developments.
In 1989, the Hyde project was going nowhere fast.
