The Gorm Field is a tight chalk oil field, which has been producing for twelve years. This paper describes how the results of a production development study, including reservoir simulation, have been used to conceptually change the water injection strategy as implemented in two earlier pilot projects. Furthermore, the initial results of the first well implemented as part of the revised strategy, namely a waterflood using horizontal basal water injectors, is presented.
