A conceptual wellhead design is described based on the use of 18 3/4″ BOP stacks. It can also be used with the more popular 13 5/8″ BOP. The concept is based around three main parameters:

    Maximum BOP protection during installation.

    Full maintainibility to the point of total replacement.

  • 3]

    Flexibility in use during the total lifetime.

The conceptual design incorporates not only operational requirements but also explains and gives solutions on the level of the detailed design.
