Complex mooring of semi-submersible vessels adjacent to existing platforms or pipelines is an increasing requirement during the development of a field or a blow-out situation. To give the necessary confidence in these difficult situations TOTAL OIL MARINE have developed a sophisticated real-time mooring analysis system, capable of giving clearances between anchor lines and structures, which has been used with great success in the Alwyn North field over the last three years.
