ABSTRACT
The Electromagnetic Propagation Tool was originally intended to be run only in fresh-water environment. However, in Middle East its range of applications have been expanded as much as possible. It has been used as a formation-water salinity estimator on one test well. Another unusual application is oil-base mud logging, which is becoming more and more frequent. A field example is presented.
