Abstract
This paper describes the process of developing a proposal for a Masters’ degree in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Engineering. This paper will outline how a needs assessment (for the degree) was conducted, summarize the development and analysis of customer surveys and research done on existing programs in the region, explain the process of course and course content development and discuss the approval process (internal and external) for the curriculum structure and content. This paper will render advice and serve as a guide for what is needed to get an HSE degree program to the proposal stage for submission for approval to the Ministry of Higher Education.
