Abstract
This paper describes the experience obtained by Pluspetrol in the use of Methanol as fracture fluid in gas wells. It analyzes the physio-chemical properties, enumerating their advantages and disadvantages. It describes the fracture procedure, the precautions and security measures taken and finally compares the results obtained with other fluids.
The use of Methanol as fracture fuid requires a complete knowledge of its properties and compliance with all precautions and security measures necessary. If all the proper information is taken into consideration, the use of Methanol is more adventagerous when compared to other fluid
