Abstract
Throughout time changes in the reservoir and economic conditions have motivated the oil industry to develop artificial lift methods.
This paper demonstrates the application of reeled (coiled) tubing to gaslift technology and the addition of another use to the growing list of its service and production capabilities.
The use of coiled tubing In gaslift installations allows the production of many wells without affecting workovers or changes of existing tubulars.
The design parameters, components and actual field results obtained in a pilot project conducted in areas of Lake Maracaibo are discussed.
