This paper highlights the results obtained during the drilling a horizontal well using azimuthal/spectral information to geosteer the well at the top of the reservoir. It also documents the structural/stratigraphic changes along the navigated section by analyzing the reaction of the radioactive isotopes in the overlying and underlying clays of the reservoir.
