Two observation wells, both instrumented with casing external thermocouples and one instrumented with casing external pressure transducers, were located 11 m and 25 m from a Cyclic Steam Stimulation well. The closer well was installed after 2 cycles of Cyclic Steam Stimulation and showed that the areal heated zone conformance changed little over the next several cycles. Most of the production was supported by increases in vertical conformance. The second well was installed after 5 cycles of Cyclic Steam Stimulation and demonstrated that non condensible gas saturation in later cycles controls the distribution of steam before the highest injection pressures are reached.
