In this paper we describe the application of interval pressure transient testing (IPTT) combined with downhole fluid identification and analysis (DFA) for characterising horizontal and vertical permeability, and determining in-situ effective oil mobility and downhole water cut in a complex and heterogeneous carbonate reservoir. We provide three well examples where interval transient testing and fluid sampling was applied at multiple depths, and resulted in an improved understanding of a complex reservoir.
