This paper elaborates the most appropriate AL (Artificial Lift) system for eight off shore reservoirs. First the initial screening was performed to eliminate some AL methods without deeper quantitative analysis. The remaining methods were then compared in terms of specific power (watts/Bopd) requirements. Finally the economical analysis was carried out to compare the AL systems in terms of curves showing NPV (Net Present Value) versus time. These curves were found to be very sensitive to the parameters that are usually not known with great certainty. For that reason the risk analysis was carried out to evaluate the probability of achieving the results from economical analysis.
