Abstract
A new formulation for determining formation resistivity factors of fractured porous media is presented. For establishing the mathematical model, a fractured medium is idealized as a cubic arrangement of cubic matrix blocks (Warren and Root model). Experimental results which validate the new formulation are given. The work is aimed at obtaining a reliable tool to aid in the interpretation of electric well logs of naturally fractured reservoirs.
