Accident and illness trends have been analysed during Unocal's seismic operations in Myanmar. The seismic work was carried out in Unocal's prospect area in mid Myanmar west of the Irriwaddy river.

The seasonal weather in Myanmar follows three distinct patterns. This paper describes how these varying weather patterns influenced the illness and accident rates during the seismic operations and concludes with some of the lessons to be learnt.
