This paper describes a methodology developed to help field facility managers maintain environmental compliance. Issues discussed are waste water, solid and hazardous waste, and hazardous material management. Since good housekeeping, best management practices, record keeping, proper documentation, and waste characterization and disposal are essential, the methodologies presented in this paper emphasize these critical exposure areas. Methods for health, safety and environment (HSElsupport staff to aid management are also discussed. These methodologies have been successfully implemented in Schlumberger Wireline and Testing districts in South Louisiana and have been well received by both location managers and state environmental regulators.
