The standard of health care for workers in remote worksites is a major concern for both workers and their employers. This paper details the logistics of setting up a health care system for a remote oil and gas exploration project. The site geography, the regulations and the level of care for these workers will be described. Analysis of the medical problems and the cost of the medical care will be discussed. I will draw conclusions and make recommendations for future remote site health care programs.
