Abstract
Excellent risk management by the petroleum industry is a premise for the Norwegian regulatory approach. The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has identified some clear trends in the industry's risk management quality in the last few years, through various revision activities. In this paper, we highlight some of the most relevant findings. We discuss what these findings mean in practice and what their importance is for safety. To our knowledge, this kind of comprehensive summary of findings through risk management revisions of the industry has not been published previously.
