When Shell Deepwater Services (SDS) introduced the Shell Group concept of HSE Management Systems it found the traditional workshop delivery methods were not successful in educating personnel about the system. Recognizing this challenge, a team within SDS devised the Protecting What's Important workshop. It was designed to introduce the HSE Management System to staff using everyday language in a setting which was both familiar and non-work related.
