Abstract
A Health Risk Assessment is a process used to determine if health hazards potentially affect workers or the public. This can be basic, initial assessment as part of routine work planning and execution, or they can be structured assessments that evaluate and prioritize potential health risks. The health risk assessment defines the required follow-up and contains recommendations for control and remedial actions.
The Norwegian Regulations to systematic follow-up of the working environment in the petroleum activities requires an evaluation of whether and how risk analyses may be used as an element in the work of preventing work related disease.
