Abstract
Based on equations describing pressure-content performance of gas reservoirs subject to water drive, the paper presents a solution developed for prediction of hysteresis performance of storage fields. The method validated using field data form several storage reservoirs has been developed into a storage performance simulator with a number of applications of interest to the storage industry. Prognostic reservoir studies for detecting loss of storage gas due to migration or wellbore seepage, calculation of cumulative loss as a function of time, cycling of aquifers, and recoverability of cushion gas are among the applications presented.
