The design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and operating phases oE major projects involve several various personnel. Operating problems encountered subsequent to commissioning are not always communicated to designers. This can result in the repeat of the errors which will cause costly modifications.
This paper reviews ADNOC’s experience in well completion and production of deep sour gas reservoir. In addition it presents a summary of several operating problems encountered in producing these wells, actions done to reduce failure probability and the resulting recommendations which should be considered in design and operation of similar reservoirs.
