ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate the potential of the methane resource associated with the Richmond Coal Basin of Virginia. The study indicated that the basin may have a potential of 0.7 to 1.4 trillion cubic feet of methane resource that may be of considerable value to the Richmond area and the nation.
