Abstract
An apparatus was selected and modified for formation damage studies at elevated temperatures and pressures. Procedures were developed to ensure reproducible results and are discussed in detail. Initial tests demonstrate a decline in formation damage with increased temperature when clear brine systems are used. The technique may be applicable for selection of drilling and completion fluids for field use.
