The successful development of slim-hole drilling and evaluation technologies has created business opportunities that are contingent on the development of complementary slim-hole well completion technology. The monobore well completion philosophy is presented. Potential applications and limitations of slim-hole completions are discussed. Areas requiring further development are identified.
