Abstract
A curve fitting technique has been developed for use in the West Operating Area of the Prudhoe Bay Field Unit that allows the operators to make daily well allocations for accounting purposes to an accuracy of better than +0/−5%.
The data required to allow the use of this curve fitting technique are obtained from a series of three well tests run at different production rates.
In order to maintain the above allocation accuracy, quality control criteria were evolved in order to determine the acceptability of well tests for this purpose.
