This paper extends previous work on analytical solutions for a KGD hydraulic fracture to include the effect of fluid loss. Our main new results are intermediate asymptotic solutions for arbitrary rock permeability; it is shown how these may be obtained in an asymptotic series whose leading term is the near-tip solution in the high permeability limit. In fact there is always a region immediately adjacent to the fluid front where the solution is dominated by fluid loss. The extent of this region depends on the fundamental parameter δ; our most important conclusion is that the solution may always be constructed as a series in δ which starts from the loss dominated limit.
