This paper focuses on the production characteristics of the Antrim Shale in the Michigan Basin. We have used a large database of Antrim project-level data, including production data; information regarding completion, stimulation and operational practices; and the results of production forecasts for 42 producing projects to provide insights into the impact of various completion and operational practices on Antrim well productivity. We used a production indicator to map well performance and identify wells of above or below average well quality. We have found that advances in completion and operational practices have increased well productivity.
