Using various graphical techniques to observe net fracturing pressure behavior can be invaluable in diagnosing fracture growth behavior, often providing the engineer with information that allows him to take corrective action as the treatment is proceeding. Techniques previously presented for plotting net pressures and methods for interpreting the plots were developed under the implicit assumption of constant injection rate. New, more general graphing techniques are shown to be less affected by variations in injection rate, extending net pressure analysis to a wider variety of situations.
