Abstract
A concept is described for predicting the mass flow rates of all phases in a production well from pressure and temperature measurements is described. The approach uses rigorous thermodynamic methods for calculation of physical properties. It is shown that a very simple flow model is sufficient to predict the flow rates with a reasonable accuracy.
