ABSTRACT
The use of straight hole turbodrills associated with diamond bits in the Anadarko Basin is discussed with reference to the optimization of drilling performance and to the techniques employed within the restraints of the local operating parameters. Examples are provided which demonstrate the ability to adapt performance proven turbodrills to the local conditions to improve drilling performance and maximize rates of penetration while concurrently avoiding costly deviation and down hole problems.
