Ninian Field consists of three platforms in the northern North Sea, offshore UK. One hundred and five wellheads and trees are maintained on these platforms at a cost of over $1,700,000.00 per year for tree refurbishment, the purchase of new valve components, and the purchase of new trees to replace aging equipment. There is also the legislative requirement to recertify trees after 5 years in service. To improve business effectiveness, the Operator and primary equipment Manufacturer have formed an Alliance Relationship. The mission statement of this Alliance is to improve safety of designs, trust, cooperation and profitability for both parties, satisfaction levels including cost reductions, guarantee product support, and to develop measures for evaluating success.
