This report reviews the case history installation of a cuttings handling system (CHS) designed for transportation of drill cuttings to container loading stations for shipment to shore. The system was installed on Norsk Hydro a.s (NH) Oseberg C Platform, PDQ (fig. 1 &2) Oseberg field in the North Sea. Early identification of future stricter regulations by Norwegian Authorities made it possible to design and purchase a system for installation during the construction phase of Oseberg C platform modules and comply with the coming regulations. Costly infield modifications at a later stage was thereby avoided. The logistics of cuttings handling to shore and operational limits are described.
